2018 taxes made easy webinars

Got questions about how the “Tax Cuts and Jobs Act” of 2017 affected your income taxes for 2018? The Evangelical Council for Financial Accountability (ECFA) has answers in the 2019 edition of Ministers’ Taxes Made Easy. And if you’re a treasurer wondering how to handle non cash charitable gifts by a member of your church, there’s Church Reporting Made Easy. Printable pdfs of both handbooks are now available.

These reliable resources are rich with the latest information on federal taxation legislation that affects minister and churches. They are prepared by church tax specialists Dan Busby, Vonna Laue, Michael Martin, and John Van Drunen of the ECFA.

Each guide is designed to simplify the unique tax situations faced by ministers and churches. The one for ministers includes helpful information, like how to determine fair rental value for housing, along with examples of completed tax returns. The guide for church treasurers features forms, advice, and valuable information tables. The ECFA makes these resources available to Nazarene ministers at no cost.

“For almost 25 years, ministers and treasurers have relied on these useful tax guides,” said Don Walter, director of Pensions and Benefits USA. “We are grateful to Dan Busby and the ECFA for continuing to make them available at no cost. I encourage ministers and church treasurers to become familiar with these resources.”
