Retirement Benefits

The Pensions and Benefits office administers the retirement plans for Nazarene church employees in the U.S. including ministers, evangelists, district superintendents, and church-employed laypeople. It also covers employees of Nazarene Theological Seminary and the General Board of the Church of the Nazarene. In addition, we make available the Nazarene Individual Retirement Annuity (IRA) and administer the Missionary Pension Plan.

• Pensioners Death Benefit Plan
• Long-Term Disability Insurance Plan
• Basic Long-Term Disability Insurance Plan
• Accidental Death and Dismemberment Insurance Plan

In addition to these plans offered to individual participants, we offer life and disability employee benefit plans to Nazarene districts and institutions of higher education. The Insurance Benefits Area also administers the Missionary Life Insurance Plan, the Missionary Long-Term Disability Insurance Plan, the Missionary Medical Plan, and the General Church Medical Plan for employees of Nazarene Publishing House, Nazarene Theological Seminary, and the General Board of the Church of the Nazarene. The Pensions and Benefits office also processes benevolence requests made by U.S. Nazarene districts on behalf of Church of the Nazarene ministers.
